United Way believes every Quad Citizen deserves the opportunity to lead their best life.  These opportunities happen by involving people in volunteerism, advocacy and giving.  The result is a mobilized community creating the conditions for every Quad Citizen to lead a happy, successful life in a healthier, stronger region.

Education, income and health - these are the building blocks of a Quad Citizen's ability to lead their best life.  That's why United Way focuses on these three areas.

• Income is a determining factor on whether someone can lead their best possible life. United Way works to create economic opportunities for all by partnering with organizations that provide basic needs and paths to economic self-sufficiency.
  
  
• Every child deserves to start kindergarten ready to learn, succeed in school and graduate high school ready for their next step.  United Way partners with organizations and schools to help provide children a strong start and a path to developing talent.
  
  
• Health can be a huge factor preventing people from living their best possible life.  United Way works to create healthy and safe conditions by allocating more than $900,000 to organizations that help improve the health of citizens through counseling, trauma support, physical activity and mental health services..
