Humility Homes and Services will be receiving a generous donation of plantings on Friday, 4/2. The weather channel is predicting a perfect spring day! We will begin planting them around our new admin property located at 6th and Fillmore (the old St. Mary's Church property) in Davenport starting at 9am.
These are established mature plantings so even a 'newbie' gardener will be able to jump in and help! This project will be outdoors, I suggest we still plan to wear masks for safety. Bring your own favorite gardening tools, water, hat, gloves.
I've planned the work in 2 hour shifts; 9 to 11, 11 to 1 and 1 to 3. Choose the timeslot(s) that works best for you. This can be individual or team sign up. We anticipate a lot of plantings coming to us and in most areas we will be creating beds where none exist. There will be plenty of work for all. Excess plants will be planted in one large patch until they can be permanently planted in the correct locations.
