The non-profits on 11 Street and 11 Street Business Assn. is sponsoring clean-up day on Saturday May 11, 2019 from 8 to noon. We are partnering with businesses, churches and others to conduct a clean 11 street (Hwy 67) campaign.
Vests and supplies will be provided to each volunteer by RI Clean and Beautiful. We are seeking volunteers to support the first community activity to bring awareness to promote and support this vital corridor(Hwy 67) that is a doorway to to our community for many visitors. Liz Sherwin of the Illinois Iowa Center for Independent (IICIL) is coordinating the event along with other non- profit agencies and churches on or near the corridor. Volunteers can sign-up at the IICIL office (501 11 St.)at 8:00 am and supplies will be distributed on Saturday. The event will conclude with "Saturday in the Park' with refreshments and other activities to highlight the days' success at the newly upgraded and refurbished Douglas Park.
