A Walk for Education (AWFE) is a grassroots program in which NSBE members and friends go door to door in underserved communities and hand out information on college, scholarship information, SAT/ACT preparation tools, NSBE and share information on the benefits of majoring in STEM fields.
Volunteers needed to walk door to door and hand out materials. Requires engaging local members of the community.
9:30 – 10:00 am : Check-in and registration
10:30 – 11:00 am: Opening statements and general announcements
11:00 – 12:00 pm: Walk door to door in the target neighborhood
12:00 – 12:30 pm: Lunch
12:30 – 1:00 pm: Regroup and close the event
