Who We Are

We work with local law enforcement DCFS and the State's Attorney's Office to investigate child abuse crimes. Children are brought to the Center to be interviewed reference reported cases of physical or sexual abuse.  A multi disciplinary team comes together to investigate  and assist the family.  This team includes local law enforcement, the Department of Children and Family Services, the Rock Island County State's Attorney, Rock Island Probation office, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, Therapist and the Children's Advocacy Center staff.  The Center opened in June of 1998 and services the children and families of Rock Island County. 

What We Do

The mission of the Rock Island County Children's Advocacy Center is to reduce trauma to children utilizing multi-disciplinary team to investigation reports of sexual or physical abuse to children under the age of eighteen.
