Earl Hanson Elementary School

Earl Hanson is a K-6 elementary building with a diverse student population. We host many of the district elementary special education programs therefore over 20% of our students receive those services. In addition we have a high English Learner population hovering around 17%. Furthermore we are in the process of becoming a full service community school with enhanced after school programs for students as well as providing services for our families outside the typical educational experience. For instance in partnership with the Riverbend Food Bank and Word of Life Church we operate a food pantry twice a month serving 10 families. Earl Hanson Elementary has been a K-6 building since opening in 1970 in the Rock Island-Milan School District 41.
