Blue Grass Elementary School

Welcome to The Blue Grass Elementary School website, HOME OF THE WILDCATS! It is a tremendous honor to be the Principal of Blue Grass Elementary School. I look forward to creating strong collaborative relationships with the staff and parents of this great community. Blue Grass is a special place. I am thrilled to be able to positively impact the lives of students and teachers.

My Vision for Blue Grass Elementary is to continue to build an ideal school environment that promotes the whole child. I believe that all children are leaders, and that their voice is just as important as ours. I want our students to feel safe, comfortable, challenged and engaged in class. Students and Staff will celebrate their successes. Teachers will feel supported in their teaching and be inspired to try new things. I will be in the classroom in order to support the teachers, students, and to assess the needs of the school, and of course, where students will achieve academically at high levels. My goal is that together we can make Blue Grass Elementary School World Class. This is only possible with all of us working together.  

I want to thank our wonderful PTA for raising money to enhance the education of your child. All children will have access to a high level of learning. Our Fine Arts Program and physical education is offered to our students and Intramurals, Choir, Band, and Orchestra are offered to our 4th - 6th graders. 

We believe we offer a well-rounded education at Blue Grass Elementary School. Hands-on Learning is at the core of all we do.  We certainly are proud of our community and teach our children to do the same through a PBIS model (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports).

Our school is Kindergarten- 6th grade and serves over 320 students each year. We are a community school and our mission is to foster personal growth, academic success, and life long learning.
