Broadway Presbyterian Church

We are a religious non-profit who believes in empowering people to a more full and complete life. This is done through hands on activities such as gardening Survival English clothes closet building usage meals for the homeless afterschool programming cooking programs computer training for every age group etc. Broadway interacts with as many agencies and organizations as possible to provide networks to assist the community in their endeavors for a healthy lifestyle. We also believe in 'greening' Rock Island so we encourage safe natural non-chemical living in all that we do. The church has been here on the corner of 23rd St. and 7th Ave. since 1875. In that time we have always been involved with the city its people and its purpose to be a better community. 'Give a person a fish you have given them one meal. Teach them to fish and you have fed them for a lifetime.'

Our vision is to build relationships and expand connections throughout our lives and community. Our mission is to reach as many people as possible enhancing and making an impact in their lives through teaching learning and by example.
