Who We Are
The Black Hawk Area Special Education District (BHASED) is a special education joint agreement between fourteen local school districts in the Illinois counties of Henry, Mercer and Rock Island. We cover approximately 1,200 square miles and serve parents and school staff that work with approximately 30,000 public, private and parochial school students. Mission/Vision: We want teachers, parents, students, school administrators and all others that we serve to trust that BHASED staff are a valuable resource; that we are a team of professionals willing to partner with them to facilitate the appropriate education and socialization of all students.
What We Do
BHASED provides specialized education services, therapy, and behavioral support to students with disabilities in partnership with our 14 member school districts.
