Who We Are

Our Story: Argrow's House is named after Rev. Argrow Margaret Warren. She is our founder, Dr. Kit Ford’s, grandmother. She lived through a violent marriage, but embraced such courage and love. Free services are offered daily at Argrow's House for women in the community healing from violence and abuse. Services range from domestic violence support groups, yoga, spiritual direction, massage therapy, art therapy, and more. We wanted to empower women mind, body, spirit, as well as financially. So we started a bath and body business where women healing from abuse can create beautiful all natural bath and body products that provide a living wage for themselves in a safe space that celebrates who they are. For Women, Made by Women, Survivor Strong! Please join this movement of healing, wholeness, and survivor made bath and body products!

What We Do

Argrow’s House, a nurturing community and social enterprise dedicated to supporting female survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, provides a safe and empowering environment where survivors can heal, rebuild, and achieve long-term stability. Through a holistic approach, Argrow’s House offers safe housing alongside free trauma-informed services, including counseling, job training, financial literacy education, and workforce development. The social enterprise component creates opportunities by employing survivors in the production of handmade bath and body products, ensuring financial empowerment and sustainable independence. The recently opened Argrow’s Café provides more development opportunities and a recently purchased property in Davenport will serve as the hub for workforce development. By fostering healing, economic vitality, and community engagement, Argrow’s House supports women and children throughout their entire journey toward safety, self-sufficiency, and success.
