Who We Are
The Humane Society of Scott County is a non-profit organization founded in 1902. We are committed to educating the communities we serve about adoption, spay/neuter, and responsible pet ownership. We educate the public about animal care and safety, pet overpopulation, and the importance of spaying and neutering. We do this through educational programs we present to schools, civic organizations, and other interested parties throughout the Quad Cities. We investigate and take action against neglect, abuse, injured animals, and other types of pet matters. We assist the Police Department, Sheriff's Office, and fire and health departments.
What We Do
The purpose of the Humane Society is to provide humane care for all lost, abandoned, abused, neglected, and unwanted companion animals in Scott County and to adopt these animals into caring, responsible homes. In Scott County alone, we provide shelter and care to over 3000 lost, abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals each year.
