Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Camp Liberty provides a unique outdoor environment where girls develop leadership skills, build independence, explore nature, and create lifelong memories. Every trail maintained, building improved, and outdoor space enhanced through your volunteer efforts directly supports the experiences that help girls discover their strengths, connect with others, and grow into the next generation of leaders. Your work today helps ensure that Camp Liberty remains a safe, welcoming, and inspiring place for thousands of girls to learn, grow, and thrive.
Help us give one of Camp Liberty's coziest accommodations the welcoming exterior it deserves! Bird's Nest Cabin has a unique history at Camp Liberty. Originally serving as a camp office, the building was recently renovated into a charming cabin for two. Today, it provides comfortable lodging for adults attending trainings and special events, as well as male volunteers who accompany Girl Scout troops during camp programs. While the interior has been transformed into a warm and inviting retreat, the exterior is ready for a refresh. Volunteers will help prepare and repaint the cabin's exterior, giving Bird's Nest a fresh new look that matches the charm found inside.
Project tasks may include:
- Scraping and preparing exterior surfaces
- Sanding and minor paint preparation
- Applying a fresh coat of paint
- Helping improve the overall appearance of the cabin
Bird's Nest Cabin plays an important role in supporting the volunteers, trainers, and adult guests who help make Girl Scout programs possible. By refreshing the exterior, you'll help create a welcoming and attractive space that reflects the care and pride we have in Camp Liberty. Your work will enhance the experience of everyone who calls the Nest home, even if only for a night or two.
