FRVN recruits and prepares volunteer veterinarians to work alongside fire, EMS, law enforcement, animal control, and emergency management. Through training, equipment, coordination, and on-scene veterinary support, FRVN works to improve responder safety, reduce animal suffering, and strengthen community preparedness. Position Summary FRVN is seeking a creative and dependable Volunteer Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to help expand awareness of our mission, recruit veterinary volunteers, engage donors, and promote training and outreach activities. This volunteer will help develop clear, professional, and engaging content for FRVN’s social media channels, website, email communications, fundraising campaigns, and conference appearances. The ideal candidate understands digital storytelling, can translate complex emergency-response concepts into accessible public messaging, and is passionate about animal welfare, veterinary medicine, public safety, or nonprofit service. Primary Responsibilities Create and schedule content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other approved platforms. Develop posts highlighting FRVN veterinarians, training activities, equipment needs, events, sponsors, and organizational milestones. Support fundraising campaigns, including the Equip the First Three veterinary responder initiative. Promote FRVN’s participation in veterinary conferences, FDIC, EMS events, public-safety meetings, and community programs.Create simple graphics, short videos, captions, campaign materials, and volunteer recruitment content. Maintain a consistent voice, visual identity, and messaging across all communications. Monitor comments and messages and route inquiries to the appropriate FRVN leader. Help develop an editorial calendar and organize reusable photos, videos, and marketing assets. Track basic performance indicators, including reach, engagement, website visits, QR-code scans, inquiries, donations, and volunteer leads. Assist with sponsor recognition, media outreach, email newsletters, and other marketing projects as needed.Preferred Qualifications Experience with social media, marketing, communications, public relations, fundraising, or content creation. Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills. Familiarity with Canva, Google products, LinkedIn, Wix, Monday or similar tools. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate professionally. Respect for confidentiality, media policies, and FRVN’s approval process. Interest in veterinary medicine, emergency response, animal welfare, or nonprofit development.Professional marketing experience is helpful but not required.
