Illinois/Iowa Center for Independent Living

We are a non-profit agency, federally and state funded in Illinois and Iowa and have been serving 3 counties in Illinois (Rock Island, Henry and Mercer and 3 counties in Iowa (Scott, Clinton and Muscatine since 1988. We are one of more than 500 locations funded by DHHS-ACL and designated as a "center for independent living."

We serve people with disabilities and their families in the Illinois and Iowa Quad- cities that include the following: Independent Living Skills, Advocacy on access to community programs, peer support, I and R and transition to community living adults and youth. We provide sign language interpreter and technical assistance to government and businesses for improved access to people with disabilities, such as deaf or blind individuals
