Through learning partnerships that put knowledge to work University of Illinois Extension's programs are aimed at making life better healthier safer and more profitable for individuals and their communities. We provide non-formal educational programs in four core program areas of agriculture and natural resources consumer and family sciences nutrition and wellness community and economic development and youth development.
Our organization began in 1914 with the passage of the Smith-Lever Act to provided research-based information to the citizens of Illinois.
