Who We Are
Our mission: To empower individuals of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential through equine assisted activities. New Kingdom Trailriders, established in 1984, offers therapeutic horseback riding programs for individuals with physical, emotional, social, or mental challenges in the greater Quad City area and surrounding communities.
We offer therapeutic riding lessons for riders from 4 to 77 years old. Horseback riding promotes mental simulation, physical strengthening, emotional development, and social interaction in a fun and active way.
The majority of our riders show significant improvements in their core strength, fine and gross motor skills, coordination, self-confidence, mobility, social skills, and verbalization after participating in our riding program.
Our association with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) has enabled us to operate a program with premiere accreditation and highly qualified instructors. Over 150 volunteers aged 14 and up including many from area youth organizations such as 4-H, dedicate countless hours to empowering riders and contributing to the success of our program, while enriching their own lives in an accepting and caring environment.
What We Do
New Kingdom Trailriders (NKT) services the greater Quad City area and surrounding communities by empowering children and adults facing physical, mental, emotional, and social challenges to create active healthier and more fulfilling lives through equine assisted activities.
