Help R.I.S.E. Academy Shine: School Clean-Up & Power Washing Day!

R.I.S.E. Academy, a program of the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education, which empowers at-risk youth through a trauma-informed educational environment, is gearing up for a fresh start to the new school year! We need your hands, your energy, and your assistance to make it a reality!

We believe that by providing a bright, clean, and welcoming environment for our students it offers a safe and nurturing space in which they can overcome their challenges, discover their potential, and embark on a transformative journey toward brighter futures.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us revitalize our school grounds and give our building a well-deserved facelift. By lending a hand, you’ll be positively impacting the atmosphere where our students can succeed and build positive life outcomes.

What We’ll Be Doing

  • Power Washing: Blasting away grime from the building exterior and entrance areas.

  • Landscaping & Grounds Care: Pulling weeds, leaf blowing, trimming overgrown bushes, and clearing away debris; especially from the physical education outdoor space and around signage.

  • Beautification: Spreading fresh mulch, planting flowers, and tidying up the student common areas.

  • General Clean-Up: Sweeping walkways and picking up litter around the perimeter.

  • Assembly: Assembling outdoor benches for students to use

What to Bring & Wear

  • Attire: Comfortable clothes, sturdy closed-toe shoes (sneakers or boots), and work gloves.

  • Gear (Optional but appreciated!): If you have your own power washer, hedge trimmer, or garden shears please let us know!

We look forward to you joining us!  Sign Up Today!

Ready to make a visible difference in the lives of local students? Your time and effort will directly impact the daily experience of the RISE Academy students.
